Christen joined KDADS in February of 2023. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from UMKC and has dedicated over 20 years to serving populations with disabilities. Early work experience includes clinical treatment for individuals with learning disabilities. Christen has experience in the roles of Direct Support Professional for adults with IDD, Manager of an Intermediate Care Facility, and Targeted Case Management.

Eligibility

To be eligible for Medicaid-funded ICF-IID, an individual must meet the following criteria:

  1. Have active treatment needs as defined by 42 CFR §483.440;
  2. Be determined program eligible by your local CDDO;
  3. Meet the level of care eligibility criteria;
  4. Be financially eligible for Medicaid.


Application

To apply for admission to an ICF-IID contact your local Community Development Disability Organization (CDDO). The CDDO will assist and guide applicants through the process. KDADS, the MCO, the ICF and the CDDO work together to determine eligibility for admission.
