Social Media Policy

The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) welcomes questions and conversation on its social media platforms. All comments are subject to public disclosure laws and will be screened based on the following:

  • Potentially libelous comments
  • Content that holds the State of Kansas, its agencies, officers, employees, or public officials in false light
  • Content that promotes or campaigns for an elected official or a candidate running for office 
  • Obscene or explicit comments
  • Hateful or mean-spirited comments
  • Personal attacks, insults or threatening language
  • Plagiarized material or intellectual property rights violations
  • Private, personal information published without consent
  • Commercial promotions or spam
  • Comments or links to materials that are off-topic
  • Comments that embed images or material from external sources

KDHE reserves the right to remove posts that violate these guidelines and/or copyright, trademark or the social media platform’s Terms of Service. In addition, KDHE follows the State of Kansas Social Media Policies.
