CMP Program Opportunities

The State of Kansas, Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) is committed to the impact quality of care and quality of life of nursing home residents. Projects that can be implemented into our skilled nursing facilities and nursing facilities allows residents and providers access to:

  • Training
  • Transition Preparation
  • Culture change/quality of life
  • Projects that support resident and family councils
  • Resident transition due to facility closure or downsizing

CMP Grant Opportunities

CMP Announces Grant Opportunity for Visitation Air Flow and Quality Improvement

As of Feb. 2, 2022, certified nursing facilities may apply for up to an additional $3,000 of CMP Nursing Home Visitation Aid Grant funds for the purchase of indoor portable fans and/or indoor portable air cleaners with high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA, H-13, or -14) filters to increase or improve air quality for resident in-person visitation. How to Receive Payment:

Facilities must provide receipts at invoicing (not at the time of application). The invoice submitted to KDADS.CMPRP@ks.gov must not exceed the quantity and cost of each item approved and must not exceed the total amount of funding approved. For example, if a facility applies for three portable fans, the facility cannot invoice for four portable fans. Invoices cannot exceed actual spending as reflected by a facility's receipt(s).

Grant Available: Communicative Technology Project

Certified nursing facilities may apply for this CMP fund grant to help cover costs of certain communicative devices and accessories allowing residents to communicate remotely due to COVID-19 restrictions.

How to Receive Payment:
