The purpose of the program is to promote the general health and well-being of older Kansans and:
- Reduce hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition of older adults
- Promote socialization of older individuals
- Promote health and well-being of older Kansans:
- by assisting them in gaining access to nutrition and other disease prevention and health promotion services
- to delay the onset of adverse health conditions resulting from poor nutritional health or sedentary behavior

- Congregate Nutrition Services. Nutritious meals consumed by qualified individuals in a congregate or group setting.
- Home-Delivered Nutrition Services. Nutritious meals consumed in qualified individuals' place of residence.
- Nutrition Education. Accurate information to support food, nutrition and physical activity choice and behaviors in order to maintain or improve health and address nutrition-related conditions.
- Nutrition Counseling. For a limited time, Hy-Vee is providing free virtual nutrition counseling sessions to older Kansans. See the Press Release and Flyer below for more information!
