Proposed Waiver Renewals

The Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services, KDADS, is amending all Kansas Medicaid 1915(c) Waivers: Autism (AU), Brain Injury (BI), Frail Elderly (FE), Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled (I/DD), Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), Technology Assisted (TA) and Physically Disabled (PD).

The proposed amendments cover the following:

  • The Kansas State Legislature’s approval of an increase to the Protected Income Level to 300% of Supplemental Security Income. This amendment is to allow for waiver participants to gain access to the new Protected Income Level. The state sees no adverse effects to waiver participants.

The proposed Effective Date for the amended Medicaid 1915(c) Waivers is July 1, 2021.
