Paula is the HCBS Administrative Manager, first joining the KDADS HCBS team in February 2017 as IDD Program Manager before taking on the HCBS Administrative Manager position in October 2022. She holds a master’s degree in French Language and Literature from the University of Kansas. Her 13+ years of experience in the HCBS system initially started in IDD direct supports, then transitioned into working for a CDDO before KDADS employment. Prior to I/DD services, she spent several years working in Special Education services and with at-risk populations. Paula also has experience working in foster care services, first as an SRS foster care employee, then as a foster parent, and later as an adoptive parent of four.
