Misty Lester is a clinical social worker whose career focus has been on medical care and aging issues. She currently serves as the VA Eastern Kansas Health Care System and Veteran’s Integrated Service Network 15 Caregiver Support Program Coordinator. In this position she has been instrumental in the development of the VA National Caregiver Support Program and was awarded by the Deputy Secretary for Health Policy and Service for her contributions to the national implementation.
A graduate of both Kansas State University, where she sits on the Social Work Community Advisory Committee and Washburn University. Ms. Lester makes her home in Topeka. She resides with her husband, a retired Master Sargent of the US Air Force who also works for VA Eastern Kansas Health Care Systems.
As the wife of a Veteran and proud VA employee, Ms. Lester has a passion and committee to Veteran’s Supports and Services.
